Nude Waterslides: The World’s Clothing-Optional Slide Sessions

Yes, you can ride a waterslide naked. Not metaphorically, and not only at some obscure private gathering: every Tuesday evening, an entire German waterpark with a looping slide, a racer slide, body slides and a wild river turns textilfrei and hands the towers to nude swimmers.

The wider truth is just as good. No permanent, commercial, hundred-percent nude aquapark exists anywhere in the world. Liability, family demographics and local decency law have kept that from happening so far. But clothing-optional slide access is real, and it arrives in three reliable forms: weekly takeovers at commercial parks, winter pool nights across the Low Countries, and permanent slide complexes inside naturist resorts.

The weekly one: Miramar Weinheim, Germany

Miramar Weinheim, in Baden-Wuerttemberg between Heidelberg and Mannheim, is the best current answer to the question. Every Tuesday from 19:00 to 23:00 the full waterpark goes FKK, and that includes the slide tower: the Looper, the race slide, the body slides, the Piratenrutsche and the wild river. Monthly long sauna nights follow the same clothing-free rule.

There is no special ticket and no membership card. You pay standard admission, typically in the 22 to 32 euro range depending on the session you book, and you slide like everyone else. The evening has an atmosphere regulars describe as the closest thing waterparks have to a sauna ritual: families thin out, the lighting settles, and the towers, pure adrenaline by day, become something closer to a social club with a queue.

The winter answer: subtropical pool nights in the Netherlands and Belgium

When the German parks are deep in their sauna season, the Low Countries run the alternative. Dutch naturist federation NFN and regional clubs book subtropical indoor pools for naaktzwemmen evenings, and the venues are not plain municipal tanks: Omnium in Goes, De Scheg in Deventer and Cariba Bad in Haaksbergen all come with tube slides, lazy river currents and wave channels, and all of it opens to nude swimmers for the session.

Sessions run bi-weekly or monthly, usually on weekend evenings, and they are ticketed rather than walk-in: you book through the organising club or the pool, typically 8 to 15 euros, with doors that lock once the window closes. Winter is the season here, which makes this the rare nude-recreation option that improves as the weather worsens.

Permanent slides, permanently nude

Three resorts treat slides as part of the naturist day rather than a special event. Euronat in the Gironde has a multi-lane outdoor slide complex inside its aquatic centre, in a 335-hectare village where everyone at the pool is already nude. Valalta near Rovinj in Croatia runs a curved pool toboggan plus an offshore inflatable aquapark with obstacle slides in its bay, all of it clothing-free for guests and day visitors. And Hedonism II in Negril keeps a fast curved body slide dropping straight into its nude pool, year-round.

Two honest notes for planning. CHM Montalivet, the birthplace of French naturism, has an excellent aquatic centre but no slide tower, and Arnaoutchot and La Jenny are pool-and-spa resorts rather than waterparks. And Cap d’Agde’s Aqualand sits outside the village walls and enforces swimsuits strictly, so a stay in the naturist quarter does not make a waterpark nude by geography.

Event takeovers: the rest of the world

Outside Europe the format is event-based. AANR and TNS groups in the United States periodically rent municipal aquatic centres and private indoor waterparks for after-hours nude swims, and the slides go on with the pool. Sydney and Melbourne nude swim groups book suburban leisure centres with indoor slides on the same principle, and Brazil’s Colina do Sol builds temporary slip-and-slides during its summer naturist youth festivals.

Why nude aquaparks are rare, and why that is fine

Three forces keep a dedicated nude waterpark from existing. Commercial parks serve families and carry liability policies built around textile rules; hygiene regulations assume swimwear in shared water; and some high-speed tubes genuinely need suit friction to keep a rider moving safely, which is why Kristall Palm Beach in Germany ended slide operation during its FKK sessions even while keeping the pool open.

What remains is better than a compromise. A weekly takeover gives you the whole tower without the crowds that would make it awkward, and a naturist resort gives you slides in the middle of a holiday where nobody is dressed anyway. The dedicated park will probably exist one day. Until then, Tuesday in Weinheim is the closest thing to booking it.

Before you go

Carry a towel and sit on it, shower before entering the water, arrive inside the entry window because doors lock once a session starts, and leave the phone in the locker: the no-photography rule is universal and enforced. Bring a swimsuit as well, since every one of these venues pairs its nude zone or nude hours with textile areas, and find the schedule before travelling, because takeovers run on club calendars rather than tourist ones.

Where to Stay Near Miramar

Flying in? Frankfurt (FRA) is the main gateway at roughly 45 minutes from Weinheim, with Stuttgart (STR) and the smaller Mannheim options as secondary. Search and compare fares on Kayak. Disclosure: affiliate link, and if you book through it we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Weinheim sits on the Bergstrasse wine route, between Heidelberg and Mannheim, and the surrounding towns make a comfortable base for a Tuesday session with a castle or a cellar tour on the Wednesday.
